This commissioned print on silk is part of an installation for Of This Earth, an exhibition curated by David A Smith.

 

A combination of drawings and paintings made from recalled memory, plus cropped sections of photography from my own travels, and landscape imagery taken from art history are collaged together digitally using map reading symbols as cookie cutter design motifs.

 

The final design was printed on silk and hung over a precarious wooden installation designed using repeats of the legend motifs in 3D form.
